IMPORTANT information for COACHES AND ATHLETES
WHAT IS THE 2022 HELICOPTER GOLF BALL DROP?
An Epic annual fundraiser for all teams hosted by the WHS Boosters. The helicopter golf ball drop takes place at the Strawberry Festival on June 4th at 2pm. Numbered golf balls are dropped over a target on the field to determine the lucky winners.
Teams are encouraged to sell golf ball tickets but are not required to participate. When folks purchase a Golf Ball ticket(s) they can indicate which team they would like their funds to support and that team will receive 100% of the money. This is possible because sponsors cover the cost of the event.
WHEN DOES THE EVENT TAKE PLACE
On Saturday, June 4th at 2pm, a helicopter will fly over WHS soccer field and drop numbered golf balls over a target on the soccer field. The golf ball closest to the pin wins $1,000, 2nd closest wins $500, and 3rd closest wins $250. We will have a special guest in the helicopter who will drop the golf balls. This event is fun to watch!
HOW TO SELL GOLF BALL TICKETS
Each golf ball ticket is $20
ONLINE: Athletes can sell golf ball tickets online at www.windhamjaguars.org. Boosters will take care of emailing the purchaser a golf ball ticket(s). The job of the team is to point people to the website!
IN-PERSON: Athletes can also sell physical tickets in person by selling at approved locations in town. Mrs. Hawkins went around town to gain approval from stores and she created a Sign Up Genius with the details. Please fill it up! There are lots of spots available. Athletes may sign up for more than one slot. First come, first served.
AT THE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL: Boosters will have a table at the Strawberry Festival to sell tickets from 11am-1:45pm. All funds from ticket sales will still go to the team chosen by the purchaser. Encourage your friends to attend the event.

HOW ATHLETES CAN GET PHYSICAL TICKETS - PICK UP & DROP OFF
There will be a Booster representative in the hallway outside of the office at WHS during Monday lunches in May to distribute tickets to athletes and collect stubs and money. Get your tickets and drop off your stubs and money every Thursday!
FRIDAY GBD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Every Friday Boosters will reward a gift card to the athlete who sells the most tickets during that week!

Athlete Ticket Distribution/Collection: Mondays in May during lunch periods

COACHES
Golf Ball Drop parent volunteers will issue tickets and collect tickets stubs/money ON MONDAYS IN MAY DURING ALL LUNCH PERIODS. They will be in the hallway outside of the office. Booster volunteers will keep track of all tickets issued to your athletes and returned by your athletes. You will receive an updated spreadsheet tracking the progress of your team, including in-person ticket sales and online ticket sales, every Friday in May.
The funds will be deposited into your individual team Booster account after the golf ball drop takes place and can be accessed by contacting the Athletic Director.
